• Sent the agents'comments to Yates&McNamara regarding the proposed live music event in <br /> Mashpee Commons <br /> • Communicated with the Recreation Department about ongoing beach compliance <br /> enforcement, and periodically monitored Callie's Beach and John's Pond Beach for COVID-19 <br /> compliance <br /> • Addressed public health and workplace safety concerns of Mashpee lifeguards <br /> • Collaborated with Suzanne Burke, the COVID-19 compliance inspector hired by Barnstable <br /> County, to provide assistance to Mashpee businesses with meeting the COVID-19 safety <br /> standards <br /> • Spoke to Ron O'Connor with the MA Department of Public Health about a complaint that the <br /> state was doing a COVID-19 audit of businesses in Mashpee Commons <br /> • Assisted the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe with COVID-19 resources <br /> • Communicated COVID-19 compliance complaints to the Department of Labor Standards <br /> • Advised the Council on Aging on a proposed ice cream social,cookie drop, and acceptance of <br /> donated products <br /> • Participated in a NACCHO webinar about maintaining immunization services during the <br /> COVID-19 pandemic <br /> • Discussed a study on the efficacy of different types of face coverings <br /> • Performed routine food establishment inspections of all long-term care facilities <br /> • Participated in weekly meetings with the Mashpee school district about planning for the <br /> school year, and advised regarding HVAC requirements, disinfectant products, cohorting of <br /> students,quarantine and isolation protocols,face coverings and other topics <br /> • Addressed COVID-19 complaints for the following businesses: Mashpee Youth Baseball, <br /> Osterville Needlepoint,Ghelfi's, Dunkin' Donuts on Rt. 130, Emack&Bolio's, FabVilla, Liberty <br /> Liquors,Stop&Shop, Roche Bros.,Stonewood Products, Black Dog,Community Connections, <br /> Subway, Popponesset Beach Company, The Picnic Box, New Seabury Cabana Club, New <br /> Seabury Athletic Club pool, Marketplace Cafe,and Sprout Farm <br /> • We observed an uptick in cases from late July through the beginning of August, but the <br /> increase was not sustained. <br /> Ms. Warden commented on the volume of complaints, and Mr. Harrington stated that not all <br /> were valid complaints. Chair Baumgaertel asked if the Route 130 Dunkin Donuts was the <br /> establishment the Board had previously fines, and Mr. Harrington answered in the affirmative, <br /> stating that they had been fined twice. No other offenses resulted in a fine, and no notice of <br /> appeal had been received regarding the Dunkin Donuts fines, and no other establishments had <br /> complaints that resulted in fines. <br /> Chair Baumgaertel asked about the beaches, and Mr. Harrington answered that there were no <br /> known issues at South Cape Beach, and the situation at John's Pond was much Improved since <br /> the parking ban went into effect. Chair Baumgaertel asked if there had been any follow up from <br /> Mashpee Commons on the proposed music event, and Mr. Harrington stated that the event was <br /> proposed by several businesses within Mashpee Commons,not by Mashpee Commons itself,and <br /> that the idea had probably been abandoned. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Review and approval of meeting minutes. The minutes of the July 2, 2020 public session were <br /> reviewed. Review of the minutes of the July 16,2020 public session were continued to the next <br /> meeting. <br /> 2 <br />
