6 Board of Selectmen Minutes March 23, 2020 COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE DNR Recommendation to Extend Shellfish Permits to June 30, 2020: The Director of Natural Resources has requested the Board of Selectmen extend all shellfish permits until further notice for the purpose of allowing the harvest for food consumption. Under M.G.L. the Board of Selectmen has the ability to grant an extension. Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to place the above topic on the Selectmen's Agenda. Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to extend the Shellfish permits under M.G.L. Chapter 130, Section 152 until June 30, 2020. Motion seconded by Selectman Weeden. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none Action regardingthe he Payment of Warrants: To limit exposure to COVID-19 virus, and to control the access to Town Hall, the Board of Selectmen agreed to designate a member of the Board of Selectmen to execute the warrants. Motion made by Selectman Sherman to authorize the Board of Selectman Chair to execute the payment warrants on behalf of the Board of Selectmen through the COVID-19 emergency. Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0.
