5 <br /> Finance Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> September 17, 2020 <br /> Update on status of vacant Finance Committee seat: <br /> Two candidates are being considered by the Town Moderator for the vacant seat on the Finance <br /> Committee. Chairman Pettengill will be sitting in on the interview scheduled for Monday, <br /> September 21, 2020. <br /> Review and take action on remaining articles in Draft#5 of the Annual Town Meeting Warrant <br /> of Monday October 19 2020 and any additional articles in the warrant which the Finance <br /> Committee is not aware of at this time: <br /> The Finance Committee took action on the remaining articles contained in Draft#5 of the <br /> Annual Town Meeting warrant, and considered the additional articles as follows; <br /> Article#5: To pay the previous fiscal year unpaid bills <br /> An unanticipated bill was received from the Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) in the amount of <br /> $47.50. It was an oversight as it was lumped with another bill for services associated to COVID- <br /> 19 paid for by the Barnstable County Department of Health& Environment as fiduciary agent of <br /> the funds used in emergency preparedness associated situations. The bill was not received by the <br /> Board of Health until September 4, 2020. This bill is not related to the pandemic. <br /> An additional unpaid bill in the amount of$80 is listed on Article 5 to reimburse a DPW <br /> employee for professional development costs incurred. The total of Article 5 is $127.50. This <br /> article will have no impact on the tax rate. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Furbush to rescind the previous vote on Article 5. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Richardson. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Pettengill,yes Mr. McKelvey,yes Mrs. Furbush,yes <br /> Mr. Richardson,yes Mr. Brady,yes Opposed, none <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Furbush to recommend the amended Article 5 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. McKelvey. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Pettengill,yes Mr. McKelvey,yes Mrs. Furbush,yes <br /> Mr. Richardson,yes Mr. Brady,yes Opposed, none <br />
