The fact is that the BOH staff <br /> has to do the same research, permitting and inspection for each type of use. The multi-units take longer <br /> due to a full inspection required for each dwelling unit. <br /> The cons are actually not doing by a standard price per use. One scenario we looked at was pricing by <br /> number of bedrooms alone. It worked well for the single room rentals but got more complex with multi- <br /> unit properties where we would have a different fee.for each different property. <br /> We will certainly re-evaluate the costs and revenues after the first year of running the program. <br /> If you have any comments or questions regarding the basis of the proposed fee and fee structure <br /> options,please do not hesitate to contact me. <br />
