75 <br />Article 42. To see if the Town will vote to raise and <br />appropriate or take from available funds in the Treasury the <br />sum of $2,400.00 to rebuild and restore the Mashpee Lake <br />Flume under the direction of the Board of Selectmen, upon <br />receipt of a permit from the Department of Public Works or <br />take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded to raise and appro- <br />priate the sum of $2,400.00 to rebuild and restore the Mash - <br />pee Lake Flume under the direction of the Board of Select- <br />men, upon receipt of a permit from the Department of Public <br />Works. Voted 49 for, 0 opposed. <br />Article 43. To see if the Town will vote to rescind Article <br />7 of the June 18, 1959 Special Town Meeting, and to combine <br />the offices of the Board of Selectmen, Board of Assessors, <br />Board of Health, Board of Public Welfare, and to choose by <br />ballot, beginning with the annual election in March, 1964, <br />three members to constitute the same, provided that at the <br />1964 annual election, members shall be elected, one for a <br />term of three years, one for a term of two years, one for a <br />term of one year; subsequent annual elections to choose one <br />member for a term of three years and to raise and appropri- <br />ate a salary of $5,500.00 for each member and that they be <br />compelled to spend five days a week on the job and one-half <br />a day on Saturdays during the months of July and August <br />or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded to postpone article <br />indefinitely. Voted unanimously. <br />Article 44. To see if the Town will vote to raise and <br />appropriate the sum of $138.60 for the following unpaid bill <br />of 1962: <br />Cape Cod Standard Times, Zoning Map $138.60 <br />or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded to accept article as <br />read. Vote 47 for, none opposed. <br />
