Hyannis, basically cement and concrete blocks and sand and
gravel trucks, we were forced to raise and resurface a section
of Route 151 leading from the Mashpee Rotary Circle to the
Town line. The insertion of the archway be-
tween Hamlins Pond and Waquoit Bay has changed Hamlins
Pond from a dead pond to a live bay.
i
The next project scheduled on our Chapter 90 Construe-
tion program is that of Great Neck Road South which you
have probably already seen in construction.
The intention is to reconstruct Great Neck Road South
from Great Hay Road to Red Brook Road taking out some
of the undesireable. curbs and installing,a proper foundation,
then to resurface with a 4" type I bituminous concrete.
We would like to take this opportunity in closing to
thank the 7th District Department of Public Works for their
