24
Our Road Program has progressed according to schedule,
with the funds that have been made available. We hope that
the Department of Public Works will be able to start and
complete the stone jetties at Popponessett Beach before the
summer season starts and that some progress can be made
with the culvert at Seaconset Island. We are negotiating with
Mr. George Boyd in regards to the purchasing of the marsh-
land that he owns, in order to have this project completed.
Drains have been installed in the flat roofs of the Town
Hall to carry off the large accumulation of water that was
leaking into the building. Five new voting booths have been
constructed and the ballot box has been repaired and put in
first class condition.
The Fire Insurance on all Town owned buildings and
property has been increased to bring it up nearer its true
valuation.
There are other items that we will be glad to discuss at
the annual town meeting.
mill, We wish to thank all of the citizens and town officials who
cooperated with us in making our town a better and more
i s desirable place in which to live.
Respectfully. submitted,
FRANK E. HICKS
u 3
r r' FERDINAND W. MILLS
;. STEVEN A. PETERS
f,t Selectmen
E i
