Proposed Amendment of Order of Conditions 43-2964 to AOOC <br /> install an additional pile and reconfigure previously approved piles to allow for addition of a boat <br /> lift. <br /> Michael Borselli from Falmouth Engineering represented the owner Jim Whitney (present). <br /> They presented the plans and addressed concerns from a letter written by the Shellfish <br /> Constable, Ashley Fisher (present). Mr. Sweet asked where the project stands right now, Mr. <br /> Borselli said Chapter 91 license was issued 2 weeks ago, nothing has been done yet. The <br /> Assistant Agent wanted to reiterate the regulation regarding the Shellfish Constable. Ashley <br /> Fisher expressed her concerns about additional piles, inaccuracies on the current plan, and the <br /> potential adverse effects. Mr. Cook asked how many piles the original plan had, Mr. Borselli <br /> answered 2. He acknowledged that the plans being shown contain errors. The Commissioners <br /> discussed various aspects of the lift and boat. Mr. Whitney answered more questions about the <br /> size of the boat and water depth. Mrs. Fisher said her issue with the lift itself is that you can't <br /> remove the entire lift. It will impact recreational shellfishing. Mr. Whitney disagreed. The <br /> discussion went on further about depth and structure. Mr. McKay brought up concerns about <br /> what was previously approved vs. what is being presented now. The Assistant Agent read <br /> comments from the Harbormaster. The Commissioners discussed further. Mr. Sweet said his <br /> concern is the bottoming out of the boat. Mr. Cook and Mr. McKay agreed. Mr. McKay went <br /> on to stress the importance of shellfish in Mashpee. Mr. Borselli and Mr. Whitney agreed to put <br /> together more accurate plans to bring back to the commission. <br /> Motion: Mr. McKay moved to continue on 3126120 at 6:OOpm. Mr. Cook seconded. <br /> Vote: 4-0 unanimous <br /> 6:15 National Grid (Applicant), Simons Narrows Road. Proposed gas main extension within RDA <br /> Simons Narrows Road right-of-way from an existing gas main within Quaker Run Road. Owner <br /> of record: Town of Mashpee. <br /> Leanna DiNunzio from Tighe and Bond presented plans on behalf of National Grid. Mr. Sweet <br /> asked if this was to service 2 additional house slots, Ms.DiNunzio said she didn't know. The <br /> Assistant Agent said this project is exempt due to CMR 10.02 2. She asked if they are <br /> excavating a freshly paved road, Ms. DiNunzio said it would be a 2 foot wide trench. <br /> Motion: Mr. McKay moved for a negative determination. (Tabled until next meeting). <br /> • Vote: Authorize culvert work at 59 Tracy Lane <br /> Cape Cod Mosquito control is asking the town to step in and assist with the maintenance of <br /> this area. DPW would be doing the work. <br /> Motion: Mr. McKay moved to authorize DPW to do the culvert work they believe is <br /> necessary at 59 Tracy Lane. Mr. Cook seconded. <br /> Vote: 4-0 unanimous <br /> • Vote: Authorize flooding of 13-acre bog at Santuit Pond Preserve <br /> Chad Smith, Vice Chairman of the Conservation Commission came in from the Community <br /> Preservation Committee Meeting, he said both proposals (under Additional Topics) were <br /> approved unanimously. <br /> The Assistant Agent requested a vote on the flooding of the 13 acre bog. <br /> Motion: Mr. Cook moved to authorize the flooding of the bog at Santuit Pond <br /> Preserve.
