Agent requested a roll call vote for an issue not submitted 48 hours prior to the meeting. <br /> Motion: Mr. McKay moved to accept an issue not submitted 48 hours prior to the meeting, Mr. <br /> Dalton seconded. <br /> Vote: <br /> Thomas O'Neill Aye <br /> Dale McKay Aye <br /> Steve Cook Aye <br /> Chad Smith Aye <br /> Charles Dalton Aye <br /> 5-0 unanimous <br /> Agent discussed an issue at John's Pond where there is an area with a small isolated patch of <br /> phragmites that needs to be dealt with immediately because it's interfering with the fish ladder and <br /> the herring are coming. Nick Crawford went with the Agent to the site. He said he's remove it at no <br /> charge as a favor to the commission. It's normally an NO[, but this needs to be done ASAP. Mr. <br /> McKay said that Nick Crawford is State certified, and there's no cost to the Town and has to be <br /> done quickly. <br /> Motion: Mr. McKay moved to approve the administrative approval as requested by the Herring <br /> Warden, Mr. Dalton seconded. <br /> Vote: 5-0 unanimous <br /> • Introduction/Interview: John Swartzbaugh and Paul Colombo submitted letters of interest in <br /> becoming Conservation Commissioners <br /> Mr. Swartzbaugh has been in Mashpee on and off for 25 years, and is now here full time. He hs <br /> previously served on the Waterways Commission. Professionally, he has worked in conservation <br /> and public relations. <br /> Mr. Columbo is now a full time resident. He has served as the Chair & Vice Chair on the <br /> Conservation Commissions in the towns of Clinton and Leominster. He has a lot of experience and <br /> is happy to help out. <br /> Motion: Mr. McKay moved to endorse and further recommend the appointment of John <br /> Swartzbaugh to the Conservation Commission as a full time member, Mr. Dalton seconded. <br /> Vote: 5-0 unanimous <br /> Motion: Mr. McKay moved recommend that Paul Columbo be appointed to the Conservation <br /> Commission as a full time member, Mr. Dalton seconded. <br /> Vote: 5-0 unanimous <br /> Adjournment <br /> Motion: Mr. McKay moved to adjourn, Mr. Dalton seconded. <br /> Vote: 5-0 unanimous <br /> Meeting adj urned at 7:41 pm <br /> Respect u LsUbmitted, <br /> Katrina Ewing <br /> Board Secretary <br />
