rt <br /> SUBJECT: Minutes of the Meeting of the Mashpee Americans with Disabilities Act <br /> Committee, November 18, 2004 <br /> The Mashpee Americans with Disabilities Act Committee met Thursday, November 18, <br /> 2004 at Ma hp a Torn Hall Meeting Room#2. <br /> Members in attendance: <br /> William Iundon <br /> Marilyn Farren <br /> James Marr <br /> Patricia Parolski <br /> Beverly Wooldridge <br /> Robert Wooldridge <br /> The minutes of the October 21, 2004 meeting were reviewed and accepted. { <br /> Marilyn reported Richard Stevens, Building Inspector had prior commitments on the third <br /> Thursday and would be unable to attend. He will be attending once we return to our <br /> regular meeting schedule of the second Thursday of the month. <br /> OLD BUStNESS: <br /> Jim Marr revised the proposed later to the Town Manager regarding improving access to <br /> Town Hall. The new draft addresses access to all Town buildings, i.e., Archives, Library, <br /> etc., as well as Town Hall and also acknowledges need for additional funding. Marilyn <br /> mentioned the new Assistant Building Inspector had experience with these issues in <br /> Plymouth and may have some suggestions for approach to funding. The letter will be <br /> signed at the December o , 2004 meeting. <br /> Trish Parolski has been discussing school access with maintenance supervisor. <br /> The Building Inspector has not had an opportunity to take up the Mashpee Commons <br /> access problems raised in Bob's memo. Marilyn indicated he would discuss the situation <br /> F at the December meeting. Bob reported a brief meeting with Mr. Tom Feronti, <br /> Construction Coordinator for Mashpee Commons. Bob questioned the absence of signs <br /> for the four new handicap spaces behind Ann Taylor. Mr. Feronti indicated the signs <br /> were available and would be installed as soon as the appropriate posts were procured. <br /> Bob did not pursue this or other issues with Mr. Feronti since Richard Stevens would <br /> soon be taking up all the access issues with Commons officials. <br /> Bill reported the owner/manager ofCape Cod Rehabilitation in Sununerfield Part{ had <br /> taken action to repair the crumbling sidewalk approach to the building that had been an <br /> obstacle to wheelchair-bound patients. <br />
