• Talked to the School Nurse Coordinator about COVID-19 parent letters <br /> • Advised restaurants and businesses regarding updated safety standards <br /> • Investigated mask complaints at Dino's Sports Bar,Wildfire Pizza, Liberty Liquors, Picnic Box, <br /> and South Cape Wine&Spirits <br /> • Worked with Popponesset Inn management regarding a suspected travel order violation <br /> • Worked with Naukabout to adjust their menu to align with COVID-19 safety standards <br /> Ms.Warden asked when the Flu Clinics would be held, and Mr. Harrington answered that the two dates <br /> are Tuesday, October 271h from 3-6 p.m. and Tuesday, November 101h from 9 a.m. to noon. He further <br /> stated that the flyer was completed and would be distributed in the next day or two. Health Agents met <br /> with Christ the King's facility manager,so he is aware of the dates and will provide the nurses with access <br /> to bathrooms. Mr. Harrington inquired if Mr.Virgilio had access to any tents that could be used, as the <br /> clinics will be held rain or shine. Mr. Virgilio stated that he would have someone contact Glen about <br /> temporary covers that may be available. Mr. Harrington stated that we are using Clinic Ace for pre- <br /> registration and scheduling,to avoid everyone showing up at once. We anticipate there may be seniors <br /> who need assistance with the registration process. Chair Baumgaertel suggested the Council on Aging <br /> may be able to assist, as they have in other towns. <br /> Mr. Virgilio inquired about the availability of the high dose, and Mr. Harrington answered that we will <br /> have the quadrivalent high dose this year. In previous years,the high dose had only covered three strains. <br /> Mr.Harrington stated that the VNA has roughly 40%more vaccine available this year. We have about 300 <br /> doses total,or 150 for each clinic. We typically only administer 225 total for the year but,if we run out of <br /> doses at the first clinic, Mr. Harrington indicated that they would look to get additional doses for the <br /> second clinic. <br /> Chair Baumgaertel asked for an update on the schools, and Mr. Harrington answered that he is very <br /> satisfied that control measures put in place are working out. He has not heard of any issues. He informed <br /> the Board that Meg,from VNA, is in very close contact with the school nurses and administration. <br /> NEXT MEETING <br /> The next meeting of the Board of Health was scheduled for Thursday,October 8,2020 at 7:00 PM. <br /> There being no further business, Veronica Warden moved to adjourn the Public Session Meeting of the <br /> Board of Health at 8:35 PM.
