dTown of Mashpee <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH - PUBLIC SESSION <br /> Mashpee Town Hall — Popponesset Meeting Room <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of December 3, 2020 <br /> Board Members Present: Member Absent: Also Present: <br /> Brian Baumgaertel,Chair Glen Harrington, Health Agent <br /> Veronica Warden,Vice-Chair Caitlin Cantella,Assistant Health Agent <br /> Ernest Virgilio,Clerk <br /> Chair Brian Baumgaertel called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM, and stated for the record that all Board <br /> members were participating remotely. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. COVID-19 Update. Ms.Cantella commented that the following actions are completed or ongoing: <br /> • Participated in weekly interagency calls with the MA DPH and the Cape Cod Health Agents' <br /> Coalition <br /> • Monitored daily epidemiological data from the MA DPH and Barnstable County Department <br /> of Health & Environment <br /> • Communicated new case numbers of COVID-19 to the public safety answering point and the <br /> Town Manager's office <br /> • Maintained the Board of Health's COVID-19 webpage <br /> • Stayed up-to-date on testing and quarantine guidelines, changes to sector-specific safety <br /> standards, public health metric reporting, Town Meeting guidelines, and changes to lower- <br /> risk state designations as it pertains to the Travel Order <br /> • Assisted members of the public, business leaders,and schools with contact tracing questions <br /> • Signed on to an emergency stopgap funding letter sent up to state leaders by the MA Health <br /> Officer's Association <br /> • Participated in Zoom calls with the Visiting Nurse Association, the MA Community Tracing <br /> Collaborative, and the Mashpee Public Schools' Nurse Coordinator,to discuss current cases, <br /> community transmission, and the CTC's surge strategy <br /> • Referred calls about positive test results to the VNA for investigation <br /> • Discussed the Community Tracing Collaborative's surge strategy with our case manager <br /> • Maintained close communication with the school nurse coordinator regarding positive cases <br /> in the school system, and advised regarding exposure dates, close contact criteria, and <br /> quarantine guidance <br /> • Sent a press release regarding holiday gatherings to the Mashpee Enterprise and the Town <br /> Manager's Office for dissemination <br /> • Communicated with Mashpee long-term care facilities about community spread,staff testing, <br /> and visitation during the holidays <br /> 1 <br />
