23.
Report of the Tree Warden
be
id
ie
Is To the Honorable Board of Selectmen:
Town of Mashpee, Massachusetts:
is Gentlemen & Madam:
of I herewith submit my annual report as Tree Warden
and Moth Superintendent. As an over-all picture, the Dutch
in Elm in the town are in
good condition and with continued
is proper pruning, should remain that way. No sign of disease
d has been detected.
s The most important project I participated in during the
past year under the heading of Insect Pest Control was the
;o aerial spraying during the month of August of the fast
spreading, destructive Pine Looper. It was found that Mash-
Pee had the largest infected area on the Cape due to our
is large woodland area, thus the town benefited by a much
d more concentrated spraying.
Y I wish to extend thanks to Mr. Harold L. Ramsey, Chief
d Supt., of the Mass. Dept. of Natural Resources and Mr. Roy
t Chase, District Supt. for their helpfulness to me in this
n past year.
U
d
's Respectfully submitted,
ERMEND HENDRICKS,
Tree Warden & Moth Supt.
e
