9
Report of the Board of Selectmen
To the Citizens of the Town of Mashpee:
For your information and approval, the following re-
port of the Board of Selectmen is submitted for the
year
ending December 31st, 1959.
Although this report covers activities for the year 1959,
some of the problems which arose during that period were
not resolved and are being carried over to the year 1964 for
disposition. Other minor improvements and
repairs were made as health and safety measures for the
youngsters occupying the building .during the school week.
r
Although the Town Hall Building is approximately I r
twenty years old, the maintenance cost has been compara-
tively small. However, we can expect the necessity for more
major improvements and repairs as time passes. At the pres-
ent time there is an urgent need for additional office space M
and the need will become more acute with the election of
new Boards and Officers at the annual town meeting. '
The acceptance of Mashpee Neck Road in the Special f
Town Meeting held in June 1959 resulted in the immediate
r:s
