Motion made by Kenneth Marsters. Motion: I move the Town vote to accept the provisions of Chapter 90, Section 20A of the Massachusetts General Laws. Motion passes unanimously at 8:54 p.m. Article 20 To see if the Town will vote to amend Article 11, §79-6, of the Code of the Town of Masbpee by deleting §79-6.B. and replacing it with the following: §79-6.B. Licensing Period. All dog licenses shall be issued, upon presentation of a valid rabies certificate, a one-, two-, or three-year. Said period shall run from January I through December 31. No license expiration shall exceed December 3 I't of the calendar year in which the rabies certificate expires, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Town Clerk Explanation: This amendment will ease the burden of licensing dogs for both the resident and the Town Clerk's office. Motion made by Wayne Taylor, 0 Motion: I move the Town vote to amend Article 11, Section 79-6 of the Code of the Town of Mashpee by deleting the first sentence of subsection B, Licensing Period, and replacing it with the following: All dog licenses shall be issued, upon presentation of a valid rabies certificate, for a period of one, two or three years. The licensing period shall run from January I through December 31. No license shall extend beyond December 31 of the calendar year in which the rabies certificate expires. Motion passes unanimously at 8:56 p.m. Article 21 To see if the Town will vote to pay a stipend effective November 1, 2001 to the Mashpee School Committee members and Mashpee Finance Committee members. To raise and appropriate, or transfer from available funds the sum of $14,400.00 to be disturbed (sic) as follows $1,200.00 per member of the School Committee and Finance Committee or take any other action.
