Article 17 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend Article XII, §5-48 of the Code of the Town of Mashpee <br /> by replacing wherever it says "Cable Advisory Committee" with "Mashpee Cable and Advanced <br /> Technology Advisory Board", <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Explanation: This name change would better identify the role of the committee due to the <br /> expansion of cable television services to include technology services with high-speed Internet <br /> service. <br /> Motion made by George Green. <br /> Mot on I move Article 17 be voted as printed in the Warrant with the exception of the phrase, <br /> ``or take any other action relating thereto"". <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 8:53 pm. <br /> Article 18 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend Article XV of the General Bylaws to rename the "Board <br /> of Appeals"'to "Subdivision Board of Appeals," or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Town Clerk <br /> Explanation: There has, been much confusion developed over the years, with this Board having <br /> the same name as the Zoning Board of Appeals. These are two very different boards and this <br /> amendment should bring an end to all further confusion. <br /> Motion made by John Cahalane. <br /> Motion: I move Article 18 be voted as printed in the Warrant with the exception of the phrase, <br /> "or take any other action relating thereto". <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 8:54 p.m. <br /> Article 19 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to accept the provisions of Chapter 90, Section 20A of the <br /> Massachusetts General Laws, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Town Clerk <br /> Explanation: The Town Clerk currently receives and maintains the parking violations issued in <br /> Town. Acceptance of this Chapter will grant the Board of Selectmen the authority to officially <br /> appoint the Town Clerk as the Parking Clerk. <br />
