Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available for Appropriation $10,000 to an Accrued Benefits Account. Motion passes unanimously at 7:40 p.m. Article 5 To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, borrow or transfer from available funds $400,000 for the purchase of a financial software program, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen Explanation: This article will fund a new computer system for the Accounting, School, Treasurer/Tax Collector, and Assessing Departments. Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. Motion made by George Green. 0 Motion. Article 6 To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, borrow or transfer from available funds $190,000 or any other sum for the cost of architectural and engineering services for plans and specifications for new construction or expansion and renovation of the Mashpee Senior Center and for expenses incidental and related thereto, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen Explanation: This action is necessary to fund the design of a new Senior Center or expansion of the existing building. Recommendation: The Finance Committee does not recommend approval. Motion made by John Cahalane. Motion move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available for Appropriation the sum of $190,000 for the purpose of paying costs of architectural and engineering services for plans and specifications for new construction or expansion and renovation of the Mashpee Senior Center and for the payment of all other expenses incidental and related thereto.
