Town of Mashpee <br /> Special Town Meeting <br /> October 17, 2005 <br /> Town Meeting opened at 7:51 PM <br /> Quorum 100 <br /> 227 Voters Present <br /> Barnstable, ss: <br /> Greetings to the Constables of the Town, <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and <br /> summon the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee who are qualified to vote in the elections to <br /> meet at the Mashpee High School on Monday, the 171hday of October, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. for the <br /> following purposes: <br /> To act on the articles contained in the following Warrant. <br /> ARTICLE 1: To see if the Town will vote to amend the provisions of the Town of Mashpee <br /> General Bylaws, Part I—Administrative Legislation, Chapters I through 7, and General Bylaw, <br /> Part 11 —General, Legislation, Section 145-2, as set forth below, or take any other action relating <br /> thereto. <br /> CHAPTER 1 - GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> ARTICLE I -- Adoption of Code <br /> Astor y: Adopted 11-13-1989 ST141 Article 28,approved by Attorney General on 2-16-1990. <br /> §1-1., Adoption of Code: The Town shall accept the renumbering of the various bylaws of <br /> the Town from their original numbering to the numbering or codification, <br /> arrangement, sequence and captions as set forth in the Code of the Town of Mashpee, <br /> dated 2005, on file at the office of the Town Clerk, to be effective <br /> , said codification having been done under the direction of <br /> the Board of Selectmen, Town Counsel and Town Clerk, and said Code being a <br /> compilation of the present bylaws of the Town and having no substantive changes or <br /> deletions in the text thereof, and the Town shall renumber any additions to the bylaw <br /> prior to <br /> ARTICLE 11 -- Amendments to Bylaws <br /> History: Adopted as Ch.1,Art.1.3,of the 1980 Code. <br /> §1-2. General Requirement. These Bylaws may be amended at any Annual Town <br /> Meeting or Special Town Meeting, provided that an article or articles for that purpose <br /> be included in the Town Warrant. <br />
