Motion made by Don Myers. <br /> Motion.- Motion- I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available for <br /> Appropriation $36,668 to be distributed as follows: $23,500 to the Fire & Rescue Department <br /> Salary/Wage Account; $6,500 to the Fire & Rescue Expense Account; $350 to the Medicare <br /> Account; $6,300 to the Medical Insurance Account; $18 to the Group Insurance Account. <br /> Article I I <br /> To see if the Town will create the position of Fire Department House Clerk/Watchman, or take <br /> any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Fire Chief <br /> Explanation,,* This position will be an on-call responder position as to staff the Fire Department <br /> watch room when the station is staffed by out of town mutual aide responders. Funding for the <br /> position will come from the department's wage account. <br /> Motion made by John Cahalane. <br /> Motion-, I move Article 11 be voted as printed in the Warrant with the exception of the phrase, <br /> ``or take any other action relating thereto". <br /> Motion passes at 8:08 p.m. <br /> Article 12 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to hire and equip, one additional fulltime Police Officer and that the <br /> Town. vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $17,538 with said funds to be <br /> appropriated as follows.- $8,,486 to the Police Patrolman Salaries Account, $5,800 to the Police <br /> Expense Account, $8 to the Group Insurance Account, $3,,121 to the Employee Medical <br /> Insurance Account, and $123 to the Medicare Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Police Chief <br /> Explanation This additional police officer position will allow the Chief of Police to assign an <br /> officer from the Department Operations Division, Patrol Section, to accomplish School Resource <br /> Officer duties while school is in session, and to other additional assignments and duties <br /> interacting with juveniles, community policing initiatives, and general law enforcement when <br /> school is not in session.
