Motion-, Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available for
<br /> Appropriation $17,538 to be distributed as follows: $8,486 to the Police Patrolman Salaries
<br /> Account, $5,800 to the Police Expense Account, $8 to the Group Insurance Account, $3,121 to
<br /> the Employee Medical Insurance Account, and $123 to the Medicare Account.
<br /> Motion passes at 8:12 p.m. by a majority.

<br /> To see if the Town will vote to change the End User Support position from part-time (19 hours)
<br /> to full-time (40 hours/week) effective October 18, 2004 and to raise and appropriate or transfer
<br /> from available funds $26,667 with said funds to be distributed as follows: $14,002 to the Salary
<br /> Account, $146 to the Medicare Account, $12,483 to the Medical Insurance Account and $36 to
<br /> the Group Insurance Account, or take any other action relating thereto.

<br /> Explanation,,* The M.I.S. Department supports over 60 personal Computers, 8 Servers, I phone
<br /> system, 35 printers and 44 employees at Town Hall alone. We also support Council on Aging,
<br /> the Library, Human Services, the Fire Dept, DPW, 6-Quashnet School Administrators for Payroll
<br /> issues, provide connectivity and support to the Police Dept. We support the cable television
<br /> system, the Town Hall Web Site, and Email System. I have several approved initiatives that
<br /> require 100% of my time which include: total rework of our Wide Area Network to a Fixed
<br /> Wireless System, a total overhaul of our Web site, integration of our Assessing and Permitting
<br /> Applications, ongoing implementation of Munis Financial Modules (Crystal, Reports and
<br /> Purchase Orders for example), much work assisting and supporting the Planning Dept with
<br /> G.I.S. initiatives, enabling citizens, to buy Permits On-Line, and enhancing our overall Security.
<br /> The additional hours for the End User Support position would enable us to provide end-user
<br /> support to the employees of the previous mentioned sites, while meeting our department goals.
