Article 6 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $1,800 to <br /> the Selectmen Salary/Wage Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: The monies requested are to cover a budgeting shortfall. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by David Leveille., <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to raise and appropriate $1,800 to the Selectmen Salary/Wage <br /> Account. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 7:49 p.m. <br /> Article 7 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $20,000 to <br /> the Town Insurance Account,, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: These funds are needed due to an increase in the Worker's Compensation, <br /> Property & Casualty, and Police/Fire Accident Policies, which were unknown at the time of <br /> budget preparation. <br /> 0 <br /> Recommendation. The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by John Cahalane. <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to raise and appropriate $20,000 to the Town Insurance <br /> Account. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 7:50 p.m. <br /> Article 8 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $109,760 <br /> to the Fire & Rescue Salary/Wage Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Fire Department <br /> Explanation: This shortfall is due to the following: <br /> Extended leave for one firefighter <br /> Two firefighters scheduled to be on extended sick leave (seven weeks each) <br /> Two firefighters attended recruit training during July and August. This was not planned during <br /> the budget process. <br />
