Motion passes unanimously at 9:21 p.m. Article 7 To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer $8,000 from the Cemetery Reserve Receipt Account to the Cemetery Maintenance Account, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Cemetery Commission Explanation: This article proposes to use funds received from the sale of plots at the cemeteries for operating exp�enses related to their maintenance. Currently, one half of the funds received from sales are deposited into the Cemetery Reserve Receipt Account, an account set up specifically for the collection of fees for maintenance. Recommendation,: The Finance Committee recommends approval. Motion made by George Green. Motion: I move Article 7 be voted as printed in the warrant with the exception of the phrase, "or take any other action relating thereto". Motion passes unanimously at 9:22 p.m. Article 8 To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from available funds $55,375 to the Waterways Maintenance Account to be used for maintaining Mashpee Waterways as directed by the Board of Selectmen, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Waterways Commission Explanation This money is needed to perform annual maintenance dredging of the Popponesset Bay and Waquoit Bay navigation channels, to repair and maintain Town owned docks and equipment, and to buy replacement navigational aids.
