Authorize the Transfer of Funds (, <br /> Submitted by: Board of Selectmen/Fire Chief/Department of Public Works/Treasurer <br /> Without going into detail, ARTICLES 1, 3, 4, and 6 involve the transfer of funds within ` <br /> departmental or line items of expense with under expended funds to budget line items of expense <br /> which have been over expended, or to appropriate monies from surplus funds to pay the expenses + <br /> under-funded in the FY 09 budget. While five Articles are listed here, each will be voted on <br /> separately. <br /> Approval of Articles 1, 3, 4, and 6 will neither have an impact on the FY 10 budget, nor will it k <br /> affect the final 2009 municipal tax rate. <br /> While each Article will be voted individually, the FINANCE COMMITTEE APPROVES <br /> ARTICLES 1, 3, 4, 6 and 7. Approve Funds for a Santuit Pond Study <br /> ` Submitted by: Board of Selectmen <br /> This Article requests an approval for an appropriation and transfer of $58,825 from available <br /> funds to the Santuit Pond Preserve Account to fund a study to determine the causes of excessive <br /> algae growth and over-all deterioration of the Santuit Pond water quality and to recommend a <br /> mitigation plan. <br /> r THE FINANCE COMMITTEE APPROVES ARTICLE 2. Vote: 6—0. <br /> The Board of Selectmen has placed an Article in this "Special" portion of the Town Meeting <br /> seeking approval to appropriate a total of$250,000 in already collected and available state and •i <br /> local Community Preservation Act Funds.
