THE FINANCE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS TOWN MEETING APPROVAL OF <br /> ARTICLE 3. <br /> ARTICLE 4. Cape Cod Regional Technical High School <br /> Submitted by: Office of the Town Treasurer. <br /> This appropriation is an assessment by the Cape Cod Regional Technical High School for the <br /> Mashpee students who attend that facility. This year's appropriation is $494,742, an increase of <br /> $51,665 from last year. The reason for the increase is an increase in Mashpee students attending f <br /> the technical high school. Forty-five students are projected for the FY 09 school year versus 40 <br /> 4., <br /> in the FY 08 year. <br /> THE FINANCE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS TOWN MEETING APPROVAL OF <br /> ARTICLE 4. <br /> ARTICLE 5. Road Improvement Projects <br /> Submitted by: Department of Public Works. ' <br /> Chapter 90 is the State legislation through which funds are appropriated to municipalities for <br /> local road improvement projects. After final project approval by the State DOT, construction " 1� <br /> costs are reimbursed to the town at 100%; however, the town must initially authorize the funds to <br /> pay for the construction improvements. The reimbursements are made by the State after the work + f <br /> has been completed. This article seeks approval to appropriate $460,000 for road improvements <br /> projects under the state Chapter 90 program. No costs are incurred until a construction project is <br /> awarded. <br /> Approval of this appropriation will not increase the FY 09 budget or the 2008 tax rate. Yk <br /> ; <br /> t{I, lig If' <br /> THE FINANCE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS TOWN MEETING APPROVAL OF <br /> ARTICLE 5. <br /> R <br /> ARTICLE 6: Authorize COA Revolving Account <br /> Submitted by: The Council on Aging <br /> This Article submitted by the Council On Aging requests approval to continue a revolving <br /> account to deposit receipts received at the Senior Center from coffee machine income, program <br /> tuitions, etc., and to make disbursements from the account to pay for expenses related to the <br /> Center's programs.The approval sets a limit on expenditures for FY 09 at$15,000. The Town <br /> Accountant monitors the transactions in this account. <br /> THE FINANCE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS TOWN MEETING APPROVAL OF <br /> ARTICLE 6. <br /> ARTICLE 7: Waterways Maintenance. <br /> Submitted by: Harbormaster &Waterways Commission. <br /> Last year the Waterways Commission took in $65,000 in mooring fees and boat excise taxes, and <br /> currently has approximately $100,000 in its Waterways Improvement Reserve Receipts (WIRR) <br /> 19 <br />
