O 'Connell : (Takes issue with Warner's statement Selectmen approved) This Board at no time has taken a stand on this article, either f to Mr. Warner or to petitioners against it. This is under the jurisdiction of the Planning Board.C, When petitions are presented hearings are held, and the public has its say. . . . such is the case on which this Board sits for instance on requests for oil storage and other types of permits, in judgment. By taking a stand, one way or- the other, this Board would be pre-judging. So this Board has at no time taken a stand on this article. Moderator: Motion has been made and seconded that this article be tabled. We will have' a show of hands . Hand vote : 71 for - 18 opposed; motion to table carried. Article 12 : To see if the Town will vote to take from available LT— ns t e sum of Two Hundred Twenty Five ($225.00) dollars to purchase two (2) lawn mowers for. the cemetery department; or take any other_ action thereon. Submitted by Cemetery Commission. NOT RECOMMENDED- BY FINANCE COMMITTEE Garland: I move this article not. be accepted. It calls for small, light - lawn mowers , such as are used in someone ' s front lawn. The chairman has agreed it it better to get commercial type mowers . Article 13: To see if the Town will vote to take from available un s the-ollowing sums of money to cover salary and wage adjust- ments , retroactive to May 25 , 1970, and for the balance of the fiscal year 1970, for certain appointed town employees, as approved by'; the Personnel Board, in accordance with the Salary Administra- thin Plan adopted by the.
