Results : <br /> Lawrence, 131; Gillis, 116; Garland, 120, and DeLory, 62 . <br /> New Finance Committee members for 1972 : Lawrence , Gillis , Garland, <br /> Prior to the voting, Lawrence and Gillis, gave thumbnail <br /> sketches of qualifications at invitationtof Moderator. Lawrence stated <br /> he lived at 28 Waterway, New Seabury, He said he had served on the <br /> Finance Committee of the Town of Hull for S years ; that he was its <br /> chairman for 2 years ; that they ran an annual budget of between <br /> four and five million dollars ; had been a resident of Mashpee for <br /> three years , and plans to stay; is a registered voter, and any other <br /> questions concerning himself he will be glad to answer. <br /> Tom Gillis stated he was a resident of Great Neck Road, South <br /> Mashpee , President and assistant general manager of Gillis & Tivey, Inc, <br /> machine shop and tractor dealership, in Hyannis . <br /> The other nominees did not speak. <br /> Article 2 . To see if the Town will vote to accept the Town Officers ' <br /> reports or take any other action thereon. <br /> Mrs . Gertrude Aiken rose to ask if the Town Reports couldn' t be <br /> in the hands of the people before town meeting '�o they could be studied. " <br /> F. Hicks : If you will look back, this is the first meeting where <br /> the Town Reports were presented at Town meeting for a good number of <br /> years . It took a lot of effort to get them here for this Town Meet- <br /> ing. This is the town report of the town officers - you may com- <br /> ment, but you can not change it. It is their report - it may not be <br /> changed. <br /> Motion was made and seconded that the Town Officers ' reports be <br /> accepted. So voted. <br /> Article 3. To see if the Town will hear and act upon the reports <br /> of any Committee for any purpose the Town may deem advisable . <br /> William H. C. Lehmann here rose to speak. He stated he was chairman <br /> of the Mashpee Council for the Aging, and the Mashpee Senior Citizens ' <br /> Club. He named Clara Dixon, Marion Hendricks , Mrs . Griffin, Irene <br />
