Page 30 Annial Town Meeting March 6, 1972 11 Article 35. To see if the To will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of Six Hundred Sixty ($660.00) dollars for the construction of a kennel, or take any other action thereon. Submitted by Dog Officer. Motion made and seconded Whicle 35 be accepted to raise and appropriate $660.00 to build the dog kennel. Seconded. So voted. Article 36. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning Map of the TVA of of Mashpee so that the following described area will be included in the R-1 District (low density) : All land north of Route 130 and west of Gotuit-Sandwich Road, .and that which lies within four hundred (4001 ) feet southerly of Route 130 and west of Cot uit- Sandwich Road and the Sandwich boundary and which is currently designated R-2. Submitted by Planning Board. Harsters , chairman of the Planning Board rose to explain that this is an area around Mashpee Pond. In the By-laws the area is zoned for higher density - some subdivisions have over 250 lots. This is open land next to an area of lower denlity. It is desired that the area will be kept low density to av6id pond water pollution. The Moderator asked for a map - none was available. Mrs. Griffin asked- i& - this was an area abutting the Lowell Reservation. Mr. Marsters replied that yes - it was that area, which at present is of low density and we would like to keep it that way. Motion was made and seconded article be accepted as read. Seconded. So voted - hand count - 80 for and none opposed. Article 37 To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $950.00 to improve and make usable the To Landing on the southwest shore of Ockway Bay, located on the Assessors Map at the southern end of .Great Neck Road, Lot 79, consisting of 3.4 acres , or take any other action thereon. $ubmitted by Town Landing Committee. Motion imade and seconded article 37 be ac ceptK as read. So voted.
