Page 30 <br /> Annial Town Meeting March 6, 1972 <br /> 11 <br /> Article 35. To see if the To will vote to raise and appropriate <br /> or take from available funds the sum of Six Hundred Sixty ($660.00) <br /> dollars for the construction of a kennel, or take any other action <br /> thereon. Submitted by Dog Officer. <br /> Motion made and seconded Whicle 35 be accepted to raise and <br /> appropriate $660.00 to build the dog kennel. Seconded. So voted. <br /> Article 36. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning Map <br /> of the TVA of of Mashpee so that the following described area will be <br /> included in the R-1 District (low density) : All land north of Route <br /> 130 and west of Gotuit-Sandwich Road, .and that which lies within <br /> four hundred (4001 ) feet southerly of Route 130 and west of Cot uit- <br /> Sandwich Road and the Sandwich boundary and which is currently <br /> designated R-2. Submitted by Planning Board. <br /> Harsters , chairman of the Planning Board rose to explain that this <br /> is an area around Mashpee Pond. In the By-laws the area is zoned <br /> for higher density - some subdivisions have over 250 lots. This is <br /> open land next to an area of lower denlity. It is desired that the <br /> area will be kept low density to av6id pond water pollution. <br /> The Moderator asked for a map - none was available. Mrs. Griffin <br /> asked- i& - this was an area abutting the Lowell Reservation. Mr. <br /> Marsters replied that yes - it was that area, which at present is of <br /> low density and we would like to keep it that way. <br /> Motion was made and seconded article be accepted as read. Seconded. <br /> So voted - hand count - 80 for and none opposed. <br /> Article 37 To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate <br /> the sum of $950.00 to improve and make usable the To Landing on <br /> the southwest shore of Ockway Bay, located on the Assessors Map at <br /> the southern end of .Great Neck Road, Lot 79, consisting of 3.4 acres , <br /> or take any other action thereon. $ubmitted by Town Landing Committee. <br /> Motion imade and seconded article 37 be ac ceptK as read. So voted. <br />
