Article 19. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $60,916, <br /> with said funds to be distributed as follows: $53,192 to the Medical Insurance Account and <br /> $7,724 to the Medicare Account, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the School Committee <br /> Explanation,,* This article will fund the fringe benefit costs of new positions in the School <br /> Department for Fiscal Year 1997. <br /> Recommendation:,, The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by Janice Mills, Chairman, School Committee, <br /> Motion: I move the Town vote to raise and appropriate $60,916 with said funds to be <br /> distributed as follows: $53,19�2 to the Medical Insurance Account and $7,724 to the Medicare <br /> Account. <br /> Motion passes at 7,-45 p.m. <br /> Article 20. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire by purchase or <br /> eminent domain for conservation purposes a parcel of land containing 2.73 acres, more or less, <br /> identified on the 1995 Mashpee Assessors Maps as Map 43, Block 1, generally located on <br /> Grafton Pocknett Road and surrounded by the Town conservation area known as John's Pond <br /> Park, to be held in the care and custody of the Conservation Commission pursuant to <br /> Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 8C; and further, to see if the Town will <br /> authorize the Board of Selectmen and/or Conservation Commission to apply for and accept <br /> Federal and/or State grants, including reimbursement under Chapter 132A, Section 11 of the <br /> General Laws, to be applied by the Town toward the financing of this purchase, and to enter <br /> into contracts or agreements with Federal and/or State agencies, private conservation trusts or <br /> other entities or persons in connection with the purchase of such land and its preservation for <br /> conservation purposes; and finally, to see if the Town will authorize the Conservation <br /> Commission and the Board of Selectmen to enter into agreements and execute any and all <br /> instruments as may be necessary on behalf of the Town to effectuate said purchase or taking; or <br /> take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Conservation Commission <br /> Recommendation:,, The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by Conservation Commission. <br /> Motion: I move the vote to accept as read with the exception of"or take any action therein". <br /> Motion to accept as read passes. <br /> 13 <br />
