following described Town owned land to the Board of Selectmen for the purpose of sale or lease to the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod, Inc.: a portion of land shown on Assessors' Map 67 as Block 1, and more particularly described on a plan entitled "Proposed Boys & Girls Club Site, May 1996 ATM" a copy of which is on file in the office of the Town Clerk and to authorize the Selectmen to execute a lease for $1.00 for 99 years therefor on such terms as they shall deem proper, and further, to authorize the Selectmen to petition the General Court for special legislation authorizing such lease. Motion passes as amended unanimously at 8,,*47 p.m. Article 23, To see if the Town will. vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen. to acquire by gift, purchase, eminent domain, or otherwise easements over land located on the southerly side of Route 130 from the Barnstable Town Line to Heritage Park, Lot 25, as shown on a plan entitled "Proposed Bike Bath Along Route 130, Mashpee, MA", dated April 29, 1995, by the BSC Group, Inc., which is on file in the Office of the Town Clerk,, for the purpose of constructing a bikeway/walkway along Route 130 from the Barnstable town line to Heritage Park, or take any other action relating thereto. Motion passes at 8:55 p.m. Article 24. To see if the Town will vote to amend. its General Bylaws by striking Section 40-1 C. and (D) and inserting in. place thereof the following language: "C. Articles for the May Annual Town Meeting must be submitted by the third Monday in January each year. Articles for the October Annual Town Meeting must be submitted by the fourth Monday in July each year. "D. The Selectmen may insert in said warrant any article or articles received by them as of said Monday in January and said Monday in July.
