Meeting participants on any matter included in the <br /> Warrant for that Town Meeting," <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Finance Committee <br /> Explanation: Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 39, Section 2313, the Open Meeting Law, <br /> mandates that all meetings of boards, commissions, committees,, or subcommittees of any <br /> district, city, region, or town, however elected, appointed, or otherwise constituted, be open to <br /> and available for inspection by the public. During Town Meetings, boards and committees <br /> often caucus to update a position or to develop a joint position. Since deliberations occur <br /> during the Town Meeting, it was the District Attomey"s opinion that these meetings must <br /> comply with the Open Meeting Law.
