Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by the Police Chief. <br /> Motion: I move that Article 8 be voted as printed in the warrant, with the exception of the <br /> phrase, "or tale any other action relating thereto" <br /> Motion passes at 10:14 p.m. <br /> Article 9. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to hire two public safety dispatchers and to raise and appropriate or <br /> transfer from available funds $1.1.,32 , with said funds to be apportioned as follows: group <br /> Insurance Account $6 ; Employee Medical Insurance Account $10,54 and Medicare Account <br /> $712, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Explanation: If the present minimum staffing for public safety dispatchers remains as <br /> previously directed by the Board of Selectmen, two addition full-time public safety dispatchers <br /> will be needed raising the total full-tine public safety dispatcher complement to eight. Most of <br /> the money to fund this request exist within the fiscal year 1996 appropriation and/or the fiscal <br /> year 1997 Police Department bequest Proposal for the Dispatcher Part-Time Salary Account <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br /> Motion made by the Police Chief. <br /> Motion I move the Town vote to hire two public safety dispatchers and to raise and <br /> appropriate $11,32 , with said funds to be apportioned as follows: Group Insurance Account <br /> $ Employee Medical Insurance Account $10,54 ; and Medicare Account $1.72. <br /> Motion passes at 10:14 p.m. <br /> Article 10. <br /> To see if the 'Town will vote to create three part-time seasonal positions under Appendix C of <br /> the Personnel Administration Plan P.A.P. : a Naturalist/Interpretive Tour wide and <br /> Coordinator and two positions of Interpretive Tour Guide, and to raise and appropriate or <br /> transfer from available funds $10,765, with said funds to be distributed as follows: $10,000 to <br /> the Conservation Salary/Wage Account and $765 to the Medicare Account, or tale any other <br /> action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Conservation Commission <br /> Explanation: The pilot program for nature/interpretive tours in Mashpee administered by the <br /> Conservation Commission, has been a great success. We would like to expand and improve this <br /> program y appointing a Coordinator or the <br /> (who would organize events, direct the <br /> "our Guides and give tours him/her-self), and, also appoint two Tour guides for these <br /> interpretive tours. <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. <br />
