<br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend Mashpee Code, Section 40- , "warrant Articles", by
<br /> deleting Section "C" in its entirety and inserting in place thereto the following language:
<br /> "C Any article which requests a sum of money shall state n the article the amount being
<br /> requested, unless it is determined by the Board of Selectmen that an amount is not available at
<br /> the time of executing the warrant for the Town Meeting, and an estimate of the amount is
<br /> included in an explanation printed in the warrant.", or tale any other action relating thereto.

<br /> Stabilization Account or for offsetting fiscal year taxes may omit an amount, but must

<br /> take any action relating thereto.

<br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire, by purchase or
<br /> otherwise, for conservation purposes a parcel of land, being a portion of that land shown on a
<br /> "Plan, of Lard it Mast pee, Mass. Prepared for the Bufflehead Bay Nominee Trust," revised date
<br /> November 6, 19951 by Hayes Engineering, Inc. of Wakefield, MA, as well as a portion of the
<br /> land shown on Land. Court Plan 40422A, said land also being portions of those parcels shown
<br /> on the 1995 Mas epee Assessors Maps as Map 115, Blocks 1., 6, 7 and 8, generally located.
<br /> between upper great River, Jehu Pond., Abigail's Brook and Great Oak Road, to be held in the
<br /> care and custody of the Conservation Commission pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws
<br /> Chapter 40, Section ; and further, to see if the Town will vote to appropriate $500,000 or any
<br /> other sum for such purpose, including expenses incidental and related thereto, and to raise such
<br /> appropriation, the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be authorized to borrow
<br /> 00,0 0 or any other sum under and pursuant to Chapter 44, Sections 7 and 8C. and, if
<br /> applicable, Chapter 40, Section 8C, of the General Laws, or any other enabling authority, and to
<br /> issue bonds or rotes of the Town therefor, provided that no bonds or notes of the Town, shall be
<br /> issued unless and until a grant agreement has been executed between the Town and the
<br /> Commonwealth of Massachusetts for reimbursement to the Town in the amount of at least
<br /> 250,000 under MGL Chapter 1. 2A, Section 1.1., or any other applicable law; and further, to see
<br /> if the "Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $500 or any other
<br /> sum to the Issuance of Debt Account; and further, to see if the Town will authorize the Board of
<br /> Selectmen and/or Conservation Commission to apply for and accept Federal and/or State grants,
<br /> including reimbursement under Chapter 132A, Section 11 of the General Laws, the "Self--Help
<br /> Act," to be applied by the Town toward the financing of this purchase, and to enter into
<br /> contracts or agreements with Federal and/or State agencies, private conservation trusts or other
