Chapter 44, Section 53E 1/z, to be expended under the direction of the Leisure Service Department, in order to place revenues collected from the various Leisure Services Child Development Programs, which shall be used for the purpose of paying wages and benefits to conduct said Leisure Service programs, and to establish the limit on expenditures from said account for Fiscal Year 2000 at $31,150. Motion passes unanimously at 9:07 p.m. ARTICLE 10 To see if the Town will vote to create a temporary full-time Senior Clerk position for the period of one year, under the Clerical Contract, Grade II, for the Building Department and further to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of$25,632, with said funds to be distributed as follows; $19,828 to the Building Department's Salary/Wage Account, $5,481 to the Medicare Insurance Account, $35 to the Group Insurance Account and $288 to the Medicare Account, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Building Department Explanation: This position is a full-time temporary position being partially funded through a donation to the Town by one developer. This position has freed the inspectors from clerical duties, allowing them to perform field inspections, plan reviews, zoning oversight and other required duties. Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. Motion made by Selectman Taylor. Motion: I move the Town vote to create a temporary full-time Senior Clerk position for the period of one year; under the Clerical Contract, Grade II, for the Building Department and for said purpose the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from the Southport Donation Account $14,004.93 to the Building Inspector Salary/Wage Account and further the Town vote to raise and appropriate $11,627.07, with said funds to be distributed as follows; $5,823.07 to the Building Inspector Salary/Wage Account; $5,481 to the Medical Insurance Account, $35 to the Group Insurance Account and $288 to the Medicare Account. Motion passes unanimously at 9:10 p.m.
