Motion made by Juan Bacigalupi. <br /> Motion: I move that the Town vote to amend the language of Section 15-17 of Article VII, <br /> Chapter 15 of the Mashpee Code by deleting the current language of said section and substituting <br /> the following: <br /> The Committee shall study proposed capital outlays involving the acquisition of land or any <br /> expenditure of single or of multiple like items totaling ten thousand dollars ($10,000) with a <br /> useful life of at least three (3) years. All officers, boards or committees, including the Selectmen <br /> and School Committee, shall, by September 1 of each year, give to such committee, on forms <br /> prepared by it, information concerning all projects anticipated by them. i.e. involving the <br /> acquisition of land or an expenditure of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) or more having a useful <br /> life of at least three (3) years. The Committee shall consider the relative need, timing and cost of <br /> these expenditures and the effect each will have on the financial position of the Town." <br /> Motion passes at 9:40 p.m. <br /> Article 33 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to delete Section 15-14 and amend the language of Section 5-8 of <br /> Article III, Chapter 5 of the Mashpee Code by deleting the current language of said Section 5-8 <br /> and substituting the following: <br /> "The Finance Committee shall consist of five (5) voters of the Town, none of whom shall hold any <br /> other elective of (sic) appointed Town office except as otherwise authorized in this code. <br /> Effective with the Annual Election of 1996, members of the Finance Committee shall be elected <br /> one (1) each from the residents of voting precinct one and four for a term of two (2) years, and <br /> one (1) each from the residents of voting precinct two and three for a term of one (1) year and <br /> one (1) from the voters of Mashpee at large (to serve as chairman) for a term of two (2) years. <br /> Thereafter, members of the Finance Committee shall be elected for two (2) years as their terms of <br /> office expire. Maximum tenure in office shall be three consecutive terms." <br /> Submitted by Petition <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee does not recommend approval. <br /> Motion made by Juan Bacigalupi. <br /> Motion: I move that the Town vote to delete Section 5-14 and amend the language of Section 5- <br /> 8 of Article III, Chapter 5 of the Mashpee Code by deleting the current language of said Section <br /> 5-8 and substituting the following: <br /> The Finance Committee shall consist of five (5) voters of the Town known of whom shall be <br /> classified as Town employees except as otherwise authorized in this Code. Effective with the <br /> annual election of 1996 members of the Finance Committee shall be elected one each from the <br /> residents of voting precincts one and four for a term of two years and one each from the residents <br /> 21 <br />
