Motion made by Curtis Frye. Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available for Appropriation $5,000 to the Legal and Engineering Account. Motion passes at 8:O1pm. Article 13 To see if the Town will vote to create two additional Firefighter EMT positions for the Fire & Rescue Department to begin January 1, 1999 and for said purpose raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds $35,000 to the Fire Department Salary and Wage Account; $4,300 to the Fire Department Expense Account; $508 to the Medicare Account; $5,481 to the Medical Insurance Account, and $35 to the Group Insurance Account, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Fire Chief Explanation: This action creates and funds two new positions for the Fire & Rescue Department. Recommendation: The Finance Committee recommends approval. Article 14 To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer from Revenue Available for Appropriation $1,300,000 and from Overlay Surplus $100,000 to offset the fiscal year 1999 tax levy, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen Explanation: This article provides funds from available revenues to meet the Town's budgetary obligations for the current fiscal year within the property tax limitations of proposition 21/z and to provide taxpayers with the third year of a three year property tax relief program.
