recorded at the Barnstable County Registry of deeds at Plan Book 27, Page 137; also, the land shown on the 1998 Mashpee Assessors' Maps as Map 23, Block 66; as well as all the Town's right title and interest in the streets and ways shown on said "Plan of Santuit Park", or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by Board of Selectmen Explanation: This article would give the Board of Selectmen the authority to deed out the Town's interest in the listed parcels, all of which were taken at various times for non-payment of taxes, although a number are incorrectly assessed to other parties. Title research for other property owners in the area indicates that the Town may have only a half interest in the parcels and that the land, which is in scattered pieces in a "paper" subdivision east of Santuit Pond, is also subject to sanding rights in favor of adjacent cranberry bog owners. In addition, there appear to be two private residences located on some of the parcels which, although apparently taken by the Town more than 30 years ago, have continued to be assessed to the home owners, who have continued to pay taxes on the properties. Motion to indefinitely postpone passes at 10:32 p.m. Article 34 To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to acquire, by purchase or otherwise, for conservation and passive recreation purposes, all or a portion of those parcels of land identified on the 1998 Mashpee Assessors' Maps as Map 70, Blocks 61, 66 and 67, located north of Quinaquisset Ave. and west of the Cotuit Bay Condominiums, to be held in the care and custody of the Conservation Commission pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 8C; and further, to see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, or transfer from available funds, $53,000 for such purpose, including expenses incidental and related thereto, and to raise such appropriation, the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, be authorized to borrow $53,000 or any other sum under and pursuant to Chapter 44, Sections 7 and 8C and, if applicable, Chapter 40, section 8C of the General laws, or any other enabling authority, and to issue bonds or notes of the Town therefor; with said borrowing to be
