E Moderator : Are there any committees who wish to make a report at this time? (No response) Selena Coombs : What about a report from the Municipal Building Committee? K. O 'Connell ® There is an article further on in the warrant dealing with this. The Committee will give a report on Article 16. Moderator : We will then wait until we take up Article 16 for this report. . Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the treasurer, TJith the approval of the Selectmen., to borrow in anticipation of the revenue for the eighteen month period begJ-nn.ing January 1, 1973, in accordance with General Lars, Chapter 44, Section 4, and acts in amendment thereof, and including in addition thereto, Chapter 849 of the Acts of 1969, as amended, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year in accordance with General laws, Chapter 44, Section 17 . Submitted by Treasurer. Moderator called for a motion. Motion was made and seconded article 4 be accepted as read. . . .and it was so voted, unanimous . Article 5 . To see if the Town will vote for a full time Town Clerk. A motion was made and seconded that the Town vote for a full time Town Clerk. Mr. M. Gr:Lffin® Could someone tell us ghat will be the powers and duties of a full time Town Clerk? i Moderator : The duties of a Town Clerk are too many and v ried to be enumerated here.. It would take up too much of the time of this meeting to try. Mr. Griffin insists that he be told. Mr. Garland Nose. , and briefly recapitulat d some of the jai duties , i.e . the keeping of certain town records ; the issuance of certain licenses , the keeping of vital statistics ; swearing in of town officials , workers , committees and commissions; acting as clerk and record keeper for the town Board of Registrars ; etc. He then made a motion that the article be accepted, and it was so voted, unanimous .
