Annual Town Meeting ® Tuesday March 6, 1973 <br /> i <br /> Article 34 Continued® (Mr® Green Speaking) <br /> e canvassed the whole of Cape Cod and environs and we have <br /> information on the bulletin board which shows that the bulk of <br /> this stuff is in buildings® The one pictured is 122► x SO► with <br /> an annex or lean-to. <br /> K.D.O►Connell : I had hoped for a bond issue and for payment <br /> spread out® It probe ly would be better not to appropriate a large <br /> sum of money at one time ® <br /> Ehrismans We owe Pill Lehmann and the Committee a vote of <br /> gratitude® Also, Jim Bain for a expert report® George Green <br /> too has put in a lot of hard work® We do need the gamze., The only <br /> question is how to finance it sensibly® All of us of course <br /> are worried about increasing taxes, but we do have to consider <br /> the deterioration of equipment, vandalism cost, and maintainece <br /> which could be severly cut down if the men have some place in <br /> which to work on their equipment® <br /> Mr® Pegg, rose to make an objection® He made a motion <br /> Arttle 34 be tabled® The motion was seconded® <br /> Moderator® The motion was not put in the proper form® <br /> Mr® Homeyer® When will the building sites be finally <br /> decided upon? <br /> Moderator® I have to take up on the motion to table ® <br /> I hope you people understand what tabling means® <br /> Ehrisman: Is that what Green wants? <br /> Moderator® Igo® <br /> Ehrismant If the motion was withdrawn, why do we have to <br /> table it? <br /> Moderator® The motion was withdrawn,, but the Article remains® <br /> At this point someore else arose and interrupted and the <br /> { <br /> Moderator became a bit provoked, scolded his audience, and reminded <br /> them that if anybody wanted.. to say anything, the proper way to <br /> do so was stand and say, "Mr® Moderator►► and they would be recongonized® <br /> ►'This thing happened last night and it is happening again tonight <br /> on several occasions and I do not wish it to happen again® Please <br /> stand and say '►Mr® Moderator, " if you wish to be recongonized® ►► <br />
