[PR <br /> f <br /> 69 <br /> Town Meeting -.the ,recommendations and estimates of all <br /> committees (except the Finance ombaittee) relating to the <br /> expenditures of money upon which action is to be taken, in <br /> addition to the articles included in .the warrant", or take any <br /> other action thereon. <br /> Action: Article voted uhanimously to be accepted as - <br /> read. <br /> Article 51. T o see if. the Town will vote to amend the <br /> present By-laws by adding to Chapter III, the following <br /> "Article ITT", to read as follows <br /> BUILDING CODE <br /> Town of Mashpee <br /> Massachusetts <br /> I. GENERAL <br /> Section 1. Purpose. To promote the health, sf ety, <br /> moral and general welfare of its inhabitants, to lessen the <br /> danger from fire, and to. improve the Town, the construction <br /> and alterations of buildings in the Town of Mashpee are <br /> hereby restricted and regulated as provided under the provi- <br /> Mons of Section 3, Chapter 143, of the General Laws. <br /> Section 2. Relief from. Personal Responsibility. The of- <br /> ficials, officers or employees charged with the enforcement of <br /> this code shall not be personally liable while acting for the <br /> municipality, and they 'are hereby relieved from all personal <br /> liability for any damage that may accrue to persons or prop- <br /> erty as a result of any act required or permitted in the dis- <br /> charge of their official duties, <br /> Section 3. Title. ' These by-laws shall be known as the <br /> Mashpee Building Code. <br /> Section 4. Continuance of Former Sy-Laws---Repeal. <br /> The previsions of these bar-laws, so far as they are the same as <br /> those of existing by-laws, shall be construed as continuations <br /> thereof and not as new enactments. A reference in a by--law, <br /> which has not been repealed, to provisions of by-laws which <br /> are revised and re-enacted..herein shall be construed as ap- <br /> Pling to such provisions as so incorporated herein. All by- <br /> laws or parts of by-laws heretofore passed, inconsistent <br /> herewith, are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 5. validity. The invalidity y of an section. or. <br /> prevision of those by-laws shall not invalidate any other sec- <br /> tion or provision thereof, <br /> 4t <br />
