23 <br />of the General Laws, and authorize the Selectmen to execute <br />and deliver a bond of indemnity therefor to the Common- <br />wealth, or take any action thereon. <br />Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was <br />voted to accept the article as read. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Article 45. To see if the Town will vote to raise the sum <br />of $1,000.00 for Highway General Account, or take any action <br />thereon. <br />Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was <br />voted to accept the article as read. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Article 46. To see if the Town will vote to rescind all <br />the existing Town Shellfish Laws, and instruct the Selectmen <br />to make new Shellfish Laws, said laws to be posted on our <br />Town bulletin boards, or take any action thereon. <br />Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was <br />voted to accept the article as read. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Article 47. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the <br />Town to deed to the Mashpee American Legion Post #262 a <br />lot of land, 100 feet by 150 feet, to be taken from the lot pur- <br />chased by the Town from the Winn Estate on Mashpee Lake, <br />or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was <br />voted to accept the article as read. <br />Vote: 54 for, 8 opposed. <br />Article 48. To see if the Town will vote to set the tenure <br />of the Surveyor of Highways at three years, beginning March <br />next, 1954, or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Upon motion duly made and seconded it was <br />voted to accept the article as read. <br />Unanimous vote.
