We currently have 17 of last year's 20
gardeners renewing for 2021, and currently 5 people on the waitlist for 2021.
• Compost bins— Lynn Harris and Frank Galello
Mr. Galello and Mrs. Harris gave an update on the compost bins that were constructed last
year and what the expectation is going forward. We need to research different options for a
roof for the bins, adding chicken wire, and making sure we have the necessary tools to aerate
the compost. Mr. Fand mentioned that horse manure can be obtained for free from Maushop
Equestrian Center in Mashpee.
NEW BUSINESS:
• Proposed update to MCGAC Bylaws—Virginia Scharfenberg
Ms. Scharfenberg reviewed minor changes to the bylaws,to be sure they are accurately reflected on the
website;
It was decided to leave the term "Mashpee Residents"vs. "Property Owners" when talking about
applicants. This can be revised in the future if necessary.
Beds need to be cleaned out by November 1, unless written approval for a later date is obtained.
The bed sizes will be changed to reflect the current accurate dimensions.
1
