Review of Hydrogeological Report Application. Vote to authorize Chair to sign.
Mr. Lyons asked who the contact person should be listed on the application.
Mr. Fudala said he's the contact, but since he's not at Town Hall, he gave the general
Town Hall phone number.
Mr. Lyons said either put down Tom Fuclalas personal contact information, or use Rodney
Collins at the Town Hall.
Mr. Fudala said to use his cell phone and home phone numbers as the contact
information.
Mike Rapacz commented that a graphic showing the plume on a topographic map would
be helpful.
Motion: Mr. Lyons moved that Tom Fudala sign the Hydrogeological Report
Application, Mr. Dunn seconded.
Vote: 5-0-0 motion passed
Review and approval of GHD Design Contract #3 — Route 151 Sewer Design.
Mr. Fudala said we're not going to have a Transportation Engineering Consultant until 2
or 3 years from now, so the idea of us having drawings submitted to DOT next March
won't happen with that schedule. We may have to split the contract into two phases.
Anastasia Rudenko said it was her understanding that there is an existing contract for
design for that portion of the highway and it's currently at approximately 75% complete.
It was originally split into 2 pieces, the desire was to do the sewer piece early so that it
catches up to where the rest of the project is so the project is ready to go. It's looking to
get listed on the TIP schedule for DOT funding, so it was requested to get the design
done earlier so this portion of the project wouldn't hold up the overall project when the
funding comes in.
Mr. Fudala said we'll need to get input/clarification from the Selectmen. We'll try to set up
a meeting to go over those issues.
Mr. Lyons and Mr. Fudala discussed the Rte. 151 map and different possible scenarios.
Anastasia said there's 2 analyses that they've done. She said she can speak about it more
at a future Sewer Commission meeting.
Mr. Fudala said we won't be able to approve this tonight, Andy Gottlieb doesn't want to
talk about anything else until after the May Town Meeting.
Status of Phase I Pump Stations.
Mr. Fudala said the Town offered to swap some town-owned property with the
Conservation Commission for the parcel we are looking to use for the pump station. Also,
Surnmerwood's legal counsel has been talking with Town Counsel regarding a pump
station. Anastasia said at this point she thinks the conversations are purely informational,
no agreement has been made yet.
Mr. Fudala asked Anastasia to come up with a number as another add alt for doing more
within the Sea Oaks Condominium, and also an add alt for the 10 houses on
Meetinghouse Road he feels should be tied in to Phase 1.
Status of Town Engineer
