Wei
° = JWashyee Inclusion and Diversity Committee
16 Great .Necks .'Road North
Mashpee, .7v1A 02649
Ms. Keliinui says church services are 11a.m.-12/1p.m. and that space that many
lovingly refer to as Collins Lot, the Community Park across from the Town Hall,
that whole area should be fine.
Ms. Bradbury acknowledged people are comfortable and can spread out with
lawn chairs and blankets and again, current guidelines are 250 and she is not sure
how many people would come. People could park there or Town Hall and would
require a police representative.
Ms. Johnson-Graham wanted to note the location of Collins Lot would be great
because people would be intrigued and would stop in, a lot of traffic is generated
in that area. The Commons is convoluted, and the Government Center does not
produce high traffic.
With the Baptist Church being on the property, Chairwoman thinks this is a great
place to celebrate Race Amity Day, and hopefully entice people to come celebrate
after services.
Cheyenne and Amna had to exit the meeting. Ms. Stevenson wanted the girls to
speak with some members of Harper Dance Studio, as it would be great to have a
dance performance.
Ms. Bradbury posed the question of a rain date. It was decided there will be no
rain date. Everyone agreed to utilize Community Park aka Collins Lot across from
the Town Hall. Everyone also agreed on picnic style. Ms. Bradbury reiterated the
urgency in asking the Board of Selectman if it can happen. She could file the
permit. Next Board of Selectman meeting is Monday, May 241" at 6:30p.m. She
would need to get the request to them no later than the 19t", ideally, she would
get it done this week. MIDC is the hosting committee and the contact person for
the permit will be Chairwoman Stevenson.
7
