Wilson <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING. 11' IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRANSCRIBING <br /> MINUTES. <br /> Mr. Stephen J. Greelish, Acting Chairman <br /> 1 . ) Warrants signed <br /> 2. ) Mr. Greelish motioned to accept the minutes of January 9, 1989, Mr. <br /> Wilson seconded. <br /> 3. ) F.Y.I . - Pamphlet American Lung Assoc. annual report - The Board acknowl- <br /> edged receiving the report. <br /> 4. ) E.A.- M foll-u memo to Exec. Sec. re: Septic Inspections for Town Bldg' s <br /> FF. McQuaid informed the Board that this memo was forwarded to the Exec. <br /> Sec. as a follow-up to the meeting with Mr. Murphy last week as requested <br /> by him and explained that ABCO Cesspool Co. was forwarded a copy of this <br /> memo. <br /> The Board acknowledged the memo. <br /> 5. ) Letter, D.E.Q.E. re: Hazardous Waste Sites - The Board acknowledged re- <br /> ceiving a copy of the letter. <br /> 6. ) Copy, memo from Exec. Sec. to P.D. Bldg. Committee re: Waiver of permits <br /> Ti as edged r°eceiving a copy of the memo however, Mr. McQuaid <br /> informed the Board that plans have not been forwarded to this office. <br /> 7. ) Letter from Fire Chief to E.A.M. re: Status report on local hazardous <br /> waste locations - Mr. McQuaid explained to the Board that he did receive <br /> a call from Cheryl Var,cos, owner of property in which a U.S.T. is located, <br /> who questioned what steps should be -taken in regards to the U.S.T. Mr. <br /> McQuaid informed the owner that a licensed excavator could be retained for <br /> this procedure and stated in Chief Ridgeway's memo, it states that both <br /> storage tanks were removed. Mr. McQuaid stated Chief Ridgeway has suggested <br /> the owner Pull the permit to remove the tank and prior to removal testing <br /> will -take as to whether the 'Lank still exists in the ground, it is suspected <br /> the pipe extending out of the ground may be a pumping pipe. <br /> The Board agreed with this procedure. <br />
