(Owners: Save Popponesset Bay, <br /> Inc., Massachusetts Audubon Society, Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department <br /> of Fish &Wildlife). <br /> John Malloy from Save Popponesset Bay and Tara Martin from Woods Hole Group presented <br /> plans. Agent commented that Regulation 20 would be redundant at best, his recommendation <br /> is to waive that requirement. Mr. Bregman asked if this is funded by the State? Mr. Malloy <br /> said no, Save Popponesset Bay has spent about 2million over 4 years. <br /> Public comment: Ken Bates from the Town of Mashpee said everything is in order, permitting <br /> will continue, they'll get the permits. Everything has worked out fine over the years. They have <br /> managed the Audubon bird portion of it and satisfied all the state and federal agencies so far, <br /> we've worked well together, <br /> Mr. O'Neil asked how long the nourishment is expected to last? Ms. Martin said 5-10 years. <br /> Agent said that nourishment comes with maintenance and perpetuity. <br /> Motion: Mr. Smith moved to approve and waive the Regulation 20 requirement. It's conceptual <br /> at this point, with the idea that it would be moved after a few months. There are other sites <br /> that could be considered, <br /> • Update: Proposed bylaw language revision to reflect monetary mitigation for dock projects <br /> (Shellfish mitigation fund).
