To be eligible, applicants needed to be Brewster residents or have a student in the <br /> Brewster school system, income below or at 80% AMI and paying over 30%income on rent. <br /> Additionally, the rental must be located in Brewster, and could not be receiving any other rental <br /> assistance. Funding was limited to a one year, $6,000 benefit and counseling was provided <br /> through HAC. Ms. Pina will forward her information to the Committee. <br /> The Chair wished to develop a chart for the next meeting,with categorized information, in order <br /> to present the information to the Town Manager. The Chair shared Ms. Baker's research, <br /> reporting that a 5% administrative fee was paid by the Town to HAC, in order to manage the <br /> program. Additionally, HAC raised$400,000 for the program for all Cape residents, Chatham <br /> contributed $150,000, Brewster contributed $75,000 and Yarmouth contributed $50,000. HAC <br /> averaged funding of$4,600 per applicant household, for households up to 100% of average <br /> median income. <br /> Updating the Affordable Housing Production Plan (AHPP)-The Chair reported that <br /> he would be meeting with Mr. Lehrer on December 3 to discuss the matter further, and would be <br /> reporting back to the Committee at the next meeting. <br /> Affordable Housing Projects in Development <br /> 950 Falmouth Road-The Chair reported that there had been a hearing last night and the <br /> Chair had provided a letter of support on behalf of the Committee. <br /> MOTION: Mr. Willard made a motion to approve the letter the Chair wrote in support of <br /> the project. Ms. Pina seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> An update was expected for the next AHC meeting. <br /> Habitat for Humanity Cape Cod-Ms. Wade confirmed that work was progressing on <br /> Mendes Way and provided an update on the work completed. Ms. Wade noted that, due to <br /> Covid-19, Habitat volunteers would be taking time off from November 24 until December 8, and <br /> then again December 22 until January 5, out of an abundance of caution around the holidays. <br /> Ms. Wade thanked the Committee for the support of their virtual kickoff, noting that it was very <br /> meaningful for the homeowners. <br /> Wampanoag Village,Phase I Development Status-Chairman Isbitz planned to follow <br /> up with David Weeden regarding progress at the development. Additionally, the Chair would <br /> like to discuss with him the vacancy on the Committee. <br /> Mashpee Commons-None at this time <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Inclusionary Zoning-The Planning Board would be considering possible Inclusionary <br /> Zoning, and would be interested in collaborating with the Affordable Housing Committee to <br /> discuss the matter further. Mr. Lehrer confirmed that the Planning Board would be discussing a <br /> variety of long range planning goals, and was present at tonight's meeting to ensure that the <br /> 2 <br />
