Mr. Pocknett suggested we could put it towards the family area. Constable said one idea
he had was to help get the lost gear out of the Mashpee River. We could potentially hire
commercial or aqua culturists to help clear the gear out. Mr. Cook said that's a great
idea, it's been in there too long already and every year it's there it digs deeper and
deeper. Constable said it's a way to get more bodies and boats out there to help clear it
out. We could bring it to the Mashpee Neck Landing and get a dump trailer or something,
and use the money to pay for disposal. Mr. Marques said he'd be happy to donate his
boat. Constable commented these funds could help pay instead of just donations. It could
help commercial fisherman earn a day's pay.
Everyone agreed it was a good idea. Constable said we have to do it anyway, so might as
well get the help if we can. Cleaning up the Mashpee River is his number one goal this
winter so it's a productive growing spot come April.
Additional Topics: (This space is reserved for topics that the Chairman did not reasonably
anticipate would be discussed.)
Adjourn meeting
Motion: Mr. Thomas moved to adjourn, Mr. Cook Seconded.
Vote: Unanimous
Meeting adjourned at 8:00pm
Respki
submitted,
K ri
Board Sedfetary
