Motion: Mr.Talbot moved to alter the EPS ban as discussed for the May Town meeting. <br /> Mr.York seconded. <br /> Vote: 3-2 motion passed <br /> Motion: Mr.McKay moved to bring the helium balloon ban to the fall Town meeting. Mr. <br /> Talbot seconded. <br /> Vote: 5-0 unanimous <br /> • Public Forum Regarding Expanded Polystyrene Ban,Waste Reduction <br /> Ms. Cadoret said we need to be aggressive with our public outreach, support a forum before the <br /> Town meeting.Mr.York said the Enterprise is an effective public outreach. Ms. Cadoret said <br /> we'll discuss further at the next meeting. <br /> ACTION ITEMS UPDATE <br /> Mass Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Program (MVP): Update Mashpee Community Draft <br /> report is out, once it's finalized it will be submitted to the State. <br /> MEC and MCGAC Planning and Management: Update Ms. Scharfenberg said they are coming up <br /> with a timeline of tasks to be performed, and an application filled out to submit to Americorp. <br /> Santuit Pond Remediation Efforts: Mr.York was at the Selectman's meeting. Town Manager and <br /> Board of Selectman support an option to drain the water into the bogs to remove the algae and hopefully <br /> help remove phosphorous and nitrogen. <br /> DNR and PALS Pond &Estuary Water Quality Monitoring: Update <br /> Mashpee CWMP: <br /> • DNR/Estuary Restoration/Shellfish Program: Update No update <br /> • IMA's with other towns; DRI Review Process: Update No Update <br /> • Planning and Funding for Wastewater(WW)Management/Sewers: Update No update <br /> • Mashpee Nutrient Control Bylaw: Update No update <br /> • Town-wide Stormwater Management-Mitigation Planning: Update No update <br /> REPORTS <br /> Conservation Department Report: <br /> • Herring Run Fish Ladder Improvement/Herring Count Program w/APCC: Update Ms. <br /> Cadoret is reaching out to the retirement community for more help. Someone from MIT is <br /> meeting up with Chucky to install a video counter. The NRCS came out with their report and <br /> ways to move forward for Santuit Pond.
