Town Manager Updates
No update from the Town Manager
Finance Committee
Minutes
June 10, 2021
Discussion to clarify, particularly for new members of the committee, that these transfers were
for moving already approved funds from one account to another to cover where expenditures
were over budget in specific accounts. This was not to increase spending about what was
approved in the overall town budget, but to merely change where the authorized budget amounts
were so that no account was over budget.
VOTE: Unanimous. 6-0.
Roll Call Vote:
Mr. Pettengill, yes Mr. Brady, yes Mr. Carrier, yes Mrs. Furbush, yes
Mr. Miller, yes Mr. Richardson, yes Opposed, none
Mr. Miller asked the question: Did everyone have to sign the transfer request? Mr. Pettengill
explained that the emergency authorization granted when the pandemic started was still in effect
until June 15, 2021, so that only he needed to sign the request on behalf of the entire committee.
NEXT MEETING
July 8, 2021 @ 6:30 pm
Additional Topics
Mr. Richardson requested that the Town Manager come to our next meeting to update us on the
FEMA situation regarding COVID-19 funds to the Town and the school.
Mr. Brady requested an update on the status of the issue with the School Committee and the
Town Manager.
Mr. Richardson inquired as to who was the committee's liaison to the Planning Board. Mr.
Miller is the liaison. Mr. Richardson suggested that the liaison may want to attend the Planning
Board meetings to gain further insight into the issues around the Mashpee Commons
development proposal.
