• What is your biggest challenge when it comes to hiring?
• If these are year-round positions, what are your employee retention rates? If you have
trouble retaining employees, what are the contributing factors?
• How can the EDIC help you?

Carol Sherman thought the goal would be to help bring in employees for the next tourist
season.

After the survey the EDIC could sponsor a job fair next year and SCORE could also participate
to give training. There have been job fairs previously, such as in the high school and the Tribal
Center; Pamela McCarthy suggested the Library. Patrice Pimental also suggested some area
specific venues, and gave Southport as an example for retirees who may want to work.

Carol Sherman and Denise Duston will meet with the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce, likely
after the next EDIC meeting, to discuss the survey.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:45.
Next meeting: October 29, 2019

Respectfully submitted by Pamela McCarthy
